OCTOBERMAS 2026

It’s finally that time of year again. As robots take over the world and the country continuously vaults itself into a dumpster, I think now more than ever we are in need of some catharsis. Preferably of the blood and gore variety. 

While I didn’t manage to stick to my exact schedule last year, I did manage at least one Halloween-themed activity or movie / show per day. And I’m determined to keep that success going this October. Being on a paranormal investigation team (Detroit Rock City Paranormal) and having a few scheduled ghost hunts not only helps, but adds a nice variety to the month’s festivities.

This year is yet another mix of childhood favorites, current favorites, a few movies that are hitting theaters, and a couple of recent films I missed. You’ll also see a few mentions of Fright Club, which is the horror themed book club I founded in 2023.
